    About the Role

    Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be a valued member or our team based at our Perth depot. You will manage a small team of Fleet Controllers. Your scheduling skills will see you optimise the productivity of the Pick-Up and Delivery (PUD) Fleet. Managing all daily freight movements, you will communicate with your team, drivers and loaders to produce an effective and punctual service. Your high-level administration skills and ability to multi-task will see you lead your team to traffic inbound and outbound freight to meet customer and business demands.

    Your Duties Include

    • Generate schedules to manage the daily pick-up of freight to / from Northline's customers
    • Supervise and manage the Fleet team
    • Prepare and administrate pick-up paperwork
    • Ensure communication between the Fleet team, Drivers and Loaders on all delivery/pick-up matters
    • Arrange for deliveries inside and outside of normal schedules
    • Manage and monitor Drivers’ daily runs through GPS tracking
    • Manage PUD contractor base including compliance audits and vehicle inspections
    • Review all Fleet Control invoices

     What can you offer to the role?

    • Demonstrated experience using a computerised dispatch system and Microsoft Office suite
    • Excellent planning abilities with high attention to detail and knowledge of the Metro Area
    • Leadership experience in either a formal or informal capacity
    • Demonstrated experience implementing improvements to KPI’s associated with fleet
    • Integrity, trustworthiness, professionalism and a customer centric-approach to problem solving
    • Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to delegate effectively
    • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
    • Effective time-management skills coupled with resilience, adaptability and the ability to multitask
    • Comprehensive understanding of Chain of Responsibility compliance
    • Experience working in an environment with a commitment to Health, Safety & Environment practices
    • Previous experience in the Transport and Logistics industry will be highly regarded
    • Comprehensive understanding of Load Restraint Guidelines, Knowledge of Dangerous Goods and Fatigue Management for Commercial Vehicle Drivers advantageous
