    Be the voice of Northline and help keep freight, customers and communities moving.

    As a Customer Service Officer, you’ll be one of the first points of contact for our customers, playing an important role in delivering a positive customer experience. From organising collections and providing quotes to answering freight enquiries and keeping customers informed, you’ll help ensure every interaction is handled with care, confidence and professionalism.

    We currently have permanent opportunities available, working Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to work shifts between 7:30am and 6:00pm.

    What you’ll be doing

    No two days are exactly the same. You’ll work closely with customers and teammates across our network to:

    • Be a friendly and professional first point of contact for inbound customer enquiries.
    • Keep customers and teammates updated on freight movements and enquiries through inbound and outbound calls.
    • Assist customers by connecting with the right teams to find timely solutions.
    • Respond to customer email enquiries accurately and efficiently.
    • Proactively communicate delays and updates, ensuring customers remain informed.
    • Build strong, positive relationships with customers and teammates across our local and interstate network.
    • Take ownership of enquiries and work collaboratively to deliver a great customer experience.

    What you’ll bring

    We’re looking for someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems and being part of a supportive team. Ideally, you’ll bring:

    • Previous experience in customer service, call centres, hospitality, retail or a similar customer-focused environment.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • A natural ability to build rapport and develop positive working relationships.
    • A collaborative approach and willingness to support your teammates.
    • Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry and typing skills.
    • The ability to prioritise, problem-solve and keep things moving in a fast-paced environment.
    • Confidence communicating with a range of customers and stakeholders.
    • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
