About the role
As our next Financial Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of Northline’s financial reporting.
In this office-based role, you will be responsible for delivering monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting obligations, while supporting statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements across the business. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and broader finance team to support sound financial governance, performance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role is pivotal in supporting business decision-making through high-quality financial information, strong stakeholder relationships, and the identification and implementation of system and process enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly and quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS).
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the accuracy of general ledger accounts.
• Prepare annual financial statements, tax returns, and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns.
• Manage expense management processes across the business.
• Administer the fixed asset register and perform regular reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain weekly cash flow reporting.
• Prepare monthly board papers and quarterly reporting for shareholders, banks, and regulators.
• Complete taxable payments reporting, payment times reporting, and ABS surveys.
• Build strong business partnerships with stakeholders across a range of functions.
• Act as a key point of contact within the finance team, supporting collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Identify, recommend, and support the implementation of system enhancements and process improvements.
• Undertake any other tasks as directed by the Finance Manager.

You will also be able to demonstrate your:
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Degree in Commerce, Accounting or equivalent.
• CA or CPA qualification (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Positive, professional work ethic.
• Ability to build strong relationships and contribute effectively within a team environment.
