As Depot Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the Freight, Warehouse & Distribution and Administration functions as well as providing day-to-day leadership and support to the team in Mackay. Your leadership skills will be instrumental in driving performance, maintaining operational efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of Customer Delight. As the Mackay Depot Manager you will be responsible for:

• Maximise safety performance and team culture through exceptional leadership;
• Leading by example with a Customer Delight mindset, ensuring the depot is set up to put the customer first;
• Explore and build business opportunities within the region and raise the profile and standing of Northline;
• Ensuring all aspects of performance management and development occur in accordance with Northline’s policies, procedures and standards;
• Setting priorities, budgets and plans to achieve overall depot goals and targets;
• Assessing, optimising and developing capability and resources;
• Creating and developing initiatives for improvement and innovation;
• Setting and managing standards and performance KPI’s for the branch;
• Driving a culture of performance where individual and organisational goals align;
• Ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, reliability and efficiency, together with sustainable improvement in safety, compliance and environmental performance;
• Managing revenue, efficiency, and cost control to maximise profitability.

As the successful candidate you will:

• Possess extensive experience in General Freight, Warehousing or a related industry;
• Be an experienced leader with strong business acumen, combined with excellent communication skills;
• Have a demonstrated track record of building, maintaining and growing key stakeholder relationships, ideally in the Transport, Logistics and Warehousing industry;
• Be an outcomes-driven professional, with a history of achieving KPI’s and targets;
• Have sound influencing, negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
• Be resilient and have absolute integrity, trustworthiness and professionalism;
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders;
• Have strong judgement skills and a proven ability to make firm, fair and consistent decisions.
