    We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Fleet Manager to oversee our Pick-Up & Delivery (PUD) operations in Melbourne, due to an upcoming vacancy. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive leader who is passionate about fostering a high-performing team that aligns with our core values: Safety, Integrity, Connection, Innovation, and Customer Delight.

    This permanent, full-time position offers a Monday to Friday schedule.

    Key Responsibilities:

      • Safety and Compliance Leadership:  Lead a team of Fleet Controllers and Fleet Support Officers, ensuring all operations meet regulatory standards and best practices. Foster a proactive safety culture by regularly engaging the team in discussions around health, safety, and wellbeing.
      • Operations Efficiency: Ensures the team is focused on the key priorities to support the delivery of effective outcomes that drive financial performance and meet customer needs. 
      • Continuous Improvement: Supports the success of continuous improvement initiatives and projects, engaging the team and holding them accountable for meeting project outcomes.  Work with other teams to identify efficiencies and anticipate programs.
      • Performance Culture:  Cultivate a performance-driven culture, providing timely feedback and fostering accountability. Focus on wellbeing while guiding the team towards meeting individual and team objectives.
      • Leadership & Development: Lead by example, promoting inclusivity and values-driven behaviours. Share key messages from leadership and escalate relevant feedback. Design and implement learning opportunities to encourage the professional development of the team.

      • Industry Knowledge: Have an advanced understanding of the national freight industry with strong fleet management experience.
