    An opportunity has become available at our Brisbane Branch to join our Afternoon Operations Team.

    You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient loading of linehaul trailers and containers as well as efficient loading & unloading of PUD vehicles.

    As the PM Operations Supervisor you will supervise the PM Operations Team, ensuring that they follow procedures and comply with all safety and health regulations.

    About Your Duties

    • Ensure all departing units and trailers are fully loaded to their full capacity and freight distributed in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Work closely with the PM Operations Manager to provide support on a daily and weekly basis, highlighting any issues with revenue, loads, costs and site.
    • Assist the PM Operations Manager to make decisions on loading, rail vs. road, maximisation of weight and cube, ensure equipment availability, scaling up and down linehaul requirements as volumes fluctuate, registers/reports completed daily and accurate load sheets.
    • Provide supervision and guidance to the PM Forklift Operators and Receiving Officers, ensuring safe operation of equipment, prioritisation of loading/unloading vehicles/containers/trailers, scanning accuracy (inbound/outbound/in depot/on for delivery etc), minimal damages to freight, PUD freight Check Weigh Cube (CWC) to prevent revenue leakage, load restraint and correct utilisation of dunnage.

    To be successful in this position you will have:

    • Supervisory experience within the freight industry, specifically supervising on the site floor.
    • Sound judgement skills and proven ability to make firm, fair and consistent decisions.
    • Proven history of developing and maintaining key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve set KPI’s and targets (including financial performance, individual and team goals).
    • Very good communication and people supervisory skills.
    • Demonstrated experience with poor performance management and disciplinary actions in line with Northline’s procedures.
    • Very good time management skills coupled with resilience and adaptability.
    • Moderate levels of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
