    Due to our upcoming move to our new St Marys location, Northline are looking for a PM Operations Supervisor to join our Sydney Freight Operations.     Reporting directly to the PM Operations Manager you will lead a team of Forklift Operators, General Hands and Receiving Officers in the safe, timely and efficient loading of linehaul as well as efficient loading and unloading of PUD vehicles. Help build and lead a team that is united and delivers on our customer promise.

    To be considered for this opportunity you will have:

    • Previous experience in a supervisory role, ideally in the transport and logistics industry.
    • Excellent judgement skills and proven ability to make firm, fair and consistent decisions.
    • Proven history of developing and maintaining key relationships ideally in the transport and logistics industry.
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve set KPI’s and targets (including individual and team goals).
    • Very good communication and people supervisory skills.
    • Demonstrated experience with poor performance management and disciplinary actions in line with procedures.
    • Very good time management skills coupled with resilience and adaptability.
    • Moderate levels of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and provide guidance, training and direction to a team of Forklift Operators, General Hands and Receiving Officers for their day-to-day operations.
    • Through leadership and direction, meet or exceed set operational targets for (including but not limited to) transit times, load and unload times, Check, Weigh, Cube (CWC), scanning accuracy, damages, pallet non-conformances, and split consignments.
    • The completion of compliance reports and declarations including Dangerous Goods, linehaul safety checklist and load compliance, inbound report, daily movement register.
    • Ensure team are assessed and deemed competent in all required VOC’s
    • Assist the AM or PM Operations Manager with (including but not limited to) depot maintenance and housekeeping, incident reporting, inductions and training, poor performance/behaviour concerns.
