Reporting to the AM Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of our daily pick-up and delivery operations via our extensive Agent network.
Based at our state-of-the-art depot in St Marys, this is a great opportunity for someone has excellent communications and rapport building skills and is motivated to strive for improvements and efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaising with clients to understand their freight and logistics needs
Coordinating the movement of freight through our supply chain, ensuring the completion of all deliveries and pickups in line with Transit guidelines.
Tracking shipments and providing updates to customers (both internal and external) on the status of their orders
Resolving any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner
Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
Streamline administrative and operational processes to optimize allocation of pick-ups and deliveries.
Meet operational objectives in scanning, damage reduction, DIFOT and cost as per Northline performance expectations.
Ensure adherence to Freight Presentation and Packaging Policy by employees and agents.
Stay up-to-date with regulatory and legislative changes, providing direction, assistance, and training for compliance.
Drive partner performance and look to enhance our Regional Service offering
Supporting the broader operations team as needed
Key Competencies & Technical Requirements:
Ability to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost reductions.
Expertise in evaluating profitability by route using relevant reporting methods
Strong knowledge of New South Wales regional locations.
Proven experience in planning, prioritizing, and coordinating multiple tasks and objectives with effective communication.
In-depth understanding of fatigue management legislation, Dangerous Goods compliance, and Chain of Responsibility.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with Agents, customers, and stakeholders.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Be customer centric, and have proven experience delivering exceptional customer service
